NEW CLOSING PROCEDURES

#Winter2021Auction

The final day of bidding for this entire auction is Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021. The initial bidding period will close at 11:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021.

You must place an initial bid on an item before 11:00 PM on auction closing night to be eligible to bid on that item during the extended bidding period that starts at 11:00 PM.

This means that if you have not bid on a particular lot before 11:00 PM you may not bid on that lot after 11:00 PM. Therefore, if you are the only bidder on a lot at 11:00 PM you will be instantly declared the winner.

At 11:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time), the “30-Minute Rule” starts and EACH lot will close individually after that lot goes 30 minutes with no new bids. Whenever a new bid is placed on a lot, the 30-minute timer will be reset and the countdown will restart for that particular lot. If you are the current high bidder on a lot and you change your ceiling bid after 11:00 PM, this will not extend the bidding time, only a bid placed by another bidder will do so.

Our auctions generally go on well into the night, if you do not want to stay up late please read the “absentee bids” information below.

ABSENTEE BIDS:

We encourage early and absentee bidding if you are unable to bid by phone or internet and do not want to stay up late on the final day of the auction. Absentee bids can be left on our web site at classicauctions.net. We at Classic Auctions Inc. will place bids on your behalf up to these amounts only as they are bid against competitively by other bidders.
