Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
Previously named the Jets but having to change their name due to the WHA club utilizing that moniker, we have a Winnipeg Clubs jersey from circa 1973-76, and it’s been attributed to Paul Baxter (1973-74). There is no labeling affixed to the collar, with the vintage durene jersey measuring-out to roughly a size 48. Styled with a large team crest consisting of three off-white sewn-on circles with a red embroidered outline beneath to form a club playing card suit, the vintage V-neck has been accented with “2” sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material. Screened-on team logos have also been utilized over the shoulders. Heavy game-use is exhibited with considerable wear to the material throughout including pulls, scrapes, burns and pilling, with team repairs situated over the front (two large clumps of repairs along with an additional repair to the collar), reverse (three large clumps of repairs along with an additional two repairs), shoulders (one repair at the left shoulder seam) and sleeves (six).
