The final stop of his incredible 20-year National Hockey League career, Wayne Gretzky would register 249 points in 234 games played for the blueshirts before hanging up the skates after the 1998-99 season. Up for grabs here, we have this Rangers Lady Liberty third jersey that has been signed by “The Great One”. Made by Starter and displaying both Starter/Center Ice and size “48-R” labeling affixed to the inner collar, the Starter logo and NHL shield have been twice embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with the Lady Liberty crest that features embroidered and textured details, matching Rangers shield crests rest over top of each shoulder. The sleeves and verso have been accented with Wayne’s number “99” in tri-layer tackle twill numerals with “Gretzky” spelt out in matching style across the top of the back. Remaining in excellent condition with some light pink colour bleed areas behind the collar as well as couple of small marks in the same area, the original retail tags are still affixed to the left cuff and Gretzky has signed the first number “9” on the reverse with a silver marker ink signature that displays without issue. Having had a WGA hologram placed to the bottom of the number underneath the autograph, a matching WGA COA will accompany this beautiful piece signed by the game's all-time greatest player.
