Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
A milestone achieved by only a select number of New York Rangers players throughout their existence, we have the puck used by Blueshirts legend Vic Hadfield to score his impressive 40th goal of the 1971-72 season, with this his best personal year, as the Oakville native would plot his 50th marker before the season was over. Hailing from his personal collection and mounted to an attractive tiered and beveled-edged finished wooden plaque that measure’s just under 9” x 11” at the widest points, a small gold-coloured metal plate listing the particulars including “Vic Hadfield - 40th Goal” and “Feb 23, 1972” has been affixed above. The Rangers’ game puck is mounted over a small extended pedestal, with some darkening and crazing to the logo. A signed LOA from Mr. Hadfield will accompany.
There is wear to the mounted and engraved metal plate including a small blemish, with the wooden plaque itself showing a small separation line near the base that runs along the seam where the wood was originally joined.
