Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
A product of the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL, Valeri Bure also represented his native Russia on a number of occasions, including at the World Cup, World Championships and Olympic Games. We have a Calgary Flames alternate captain’s jersey worn by the Moscow native in 1999-00, his third of four seasons with the club. Pro Player tagging sits along the collar, with embroidered NHL and Pro Player crests on the back bottom hem. Fashioned with an attractive tri-colour Flames crest completely administered in tackle twill, the red V-neck has been embellished with slanted dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the NHL 2000 crest over the right breast. Game-wear is heavy on the garment, with a ton of marks on the front and sleeves including over the team crest, with holes over each elbow section occurring from board burns. There is also some pilling/fraying to the fabric on the right side of the reverse. Bure would finish the season with a career high of 75 points. An LOA from the Flames will accompany.
