Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Awesome Toronto Maple Leafs “1967” stainless steel dressing room entry logo was originally sold at the Maple Leaf Gardens auction in 2000. The Leafs adopted a modernized maple leaf logo in 1967, Canada’s Centennial year, and this is the crest the Maple Leafs’ aging dynasty was wearing when it claimed the Stanley Cup that spring with a stunning upset win over the Montreal Canadiens in the final. This solid stainless steel piece measures 16” x 15 1/2" with its mounting bolts still attached to the back from when it was removed from the Gardens, and the original auction tag still attached. Great piece of Maple Leafs history from the old Gardens that harkens back to the 1967 Stanley Cup win.
