The youngest winner of the Vezina Trophy for best goaltender as an 18-year-old rookie in 1984, Tom Barasso is the also youngest NHL netminder to ever be awarded the Calder Memorial Trophy. The Boston native backstopped the Pittsburgh Penguins to a pair of consecutive Stanley Cup championships, in 1991 and 1992. A veteran of 777 National Hockey League games for Pittsburgh, Ottawa, Carolina, Toronto and St. Louis who was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2023, offered here is this Penguins jersey donned by Barrasso during a portion of the 1992-93 season. Made by CCM, both size "56" and Maska Ultrafil labels have been affixed to the inner collar, with the latter of the two (2) displaying Tom's number "35" in heavily faded black marker ink. Also having had the logos of CCM and the NHL embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Penguins team crest that features both textured and embroidered details throughout its entirety while the Stanley Cup's centennial anniversary patch that was worn by all the league's teams throughout the season is in place over the right breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Barrasso's number "35" in dual layer black-over-yellow tackle twill numerals, "Barrasso" has been spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Displaying good game-wear, puck marks are present over the front, reverse and both sleeves while red post paint transfer marks are found in the areas around both elbows. Additionally, pilling is found around the collar and at the ends of both cuffs while a slash mark is seen at the bottom of the team crest. Of note, the fight strap has been cut from the interior. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey has been matched to the nearly completely washed out puck mark that is observed above the Penguins head in the team crest, with this seen in the image that graces the cover of the included Penguins 1993-94 yearbook. Additionally, the jersey has also been video-matched to screen captures taken from Pittsburgh's game on January 7th, 1993 vs Minnesota, which show a match to the large dark puck mark above the "3" on the left sleeve.
