Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
Tim Thomas’ signed Bauer Supreme 7500 goalie stick saw duty in Team USA practices during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. From Thomas’ personal collection, this model of stick was used by Tim only at the 2010 Olympics, when he backed up Ryan Miller for the US’s silver medal winners. This particular stick is photo-matched to a digital image of Thomas during a team practice on February 20th 2010 to the numerous chips on the paint of the paddle and to pucks marks on the tape's blade. “Thomas” is stamped on the shaft and it retains Tim’s original tape jobs on the knob, lower shaft and blade. His bold black marker signature at the top of the paddle has a handwritten “World Championship” annotation. The handwritten “2010 Olympics Vancouver” annotation in bold black marker is on the bottom front of the paddle above the blade. Lots of wear here with a crack in the top edge midway up the paddle, five areas of paint that was chipped off along the top edge of the paddle, black marks and wear to the bottom edge of the blade’s tape job, a crack on the back edge of the paddle just up from the heel. The stick will come with Tim Thomas’ signed LOA.
