Featuring approximately 3.7 million viewers, the 2010 Winter Classic at Fenway Park pitted the hometown Boston Bruins against the rival Philadelphia Flyers, with the Beantowners earning a 2-1 overtime victory to serve as the first home team to win a Winter Classic. Bruins goalie Tim Thomas wore this retro-style jersey during the second period of the outdoor affair. Made by Reebok and tagged as a size “58” behind the goalie style flag tag on the inner collar, Thomas’ number “30” has been handwritten on the “58” size flag tag. Featuring a felt Bruins team crest with affixed “B”, the vintage-style tie-neck has been accented with matching felt sleeve and verso numbers, with the Winter Classic patch over the right breast. Worn for just a single period of play, game wear present on the jersey is light with the only wear being found in the form of three puck marks on the front of the jersey. The MeiGray patch residing over the inside hem is numbered “G13754” and according to the MeiGray population report, it lists the jersey as a “Gold Winter Classic - Worn During 2nd Period 1/1/10 - BOS-MGG Set” example. A letter of authenticity from MeiGray will accompany.
