Selected by the Washington Capitals in 1981 and seeing NHL action in parts of 8 seasons, goaltender Peter Sidorkiewicz later served as an assistant coach with the Erie Otters in 1999, and remained in this position until he was named the Otters head coach prior to the 2006-07 OHL season. Erie would win the J. Ross Robertson Cup in 2002, and we offer the ring presented to Sidorkiewicz for the Otter's status as OHL playoff champions. Size 10 1/2 with an approximate weight of 33 grams and made of Auralite (a yellow metal like 10 Karat Yellow Gold, however, side by side there is a slight difference in yellow hue. By law, any material containing less than 10 karats of pure gold cannot be portrayed as gold; hence the name Auralite), a raised J Ross Robertson cup is centered over the tableau encompassed by a bed of zirconia, with "Ontario Hockey League Champions" around the perimeter along with "2002". The right shank sports an Otters logo with "Sidorkiewicz" above and "Coach" below, while the left shank features an OHL logo with "Champion" above and "Western Conference and Midwest Division" below. The inner band is stamped "Aur©Jostens". The ring exhibits light wear from use including a few scratches to the shanks and band and a few small dings to the outer band. From his personal collection, a signed LOA from Peter Sidorkiewicz will accompany.
