A four-time Stanley Cup champion and perennial NHL All-Star throughout his HOF career, Paul Coffey brought his graceful skating and skilled defending to the Philadelphia Flyers in 1996-97 after playing 20 games for Hartford, and scored 55 points spread over his 94 games played throughout two seasons in the City of Brotherly Love. This photo-matched Flyers third jersey was worn by the superstar in 1997-98. Nike and Center Ice labeling with “50” sizing and handwritten “77” is affixed to the collar, with embroidered Nike and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the classic winged-P team crest administered in layered tackle twill, “77” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in matching material, along with “Coffey” across the affixed nameplate. Obtained directly from Flyers trainer Jim Evers according to the accompanying LOA, the jersey shows light game-use, with a slit near the left elbow. Getty Image #303240 (April 18, 1998) has been matched to the unrepaired slit near the left elbow.
