A product of Chicoutimi in the QMJHL who went undrafted, Marc Fortier's career saw him play in 212 National Hockey League games over the course of six (6) seasons, split between Quebec, Ottawa and Los Angeles, offered here we present this Ottawa Senators jersey that was worn by Fortier during his short stint with the Senators in their inaugural season of 1992-93 that was then recycled for Pavol Demitra's use during the 1993-94 pre-season. Made by CCM, Maska Ultrafil and size "52" labels are affixed to the inner collar while the logos of both CCM and the NHL shield are embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Senators team crest that features both embroidered and textured details, the Stanley Cup Centennial patch, worn by all teams during the 1992-93 season, sits placed over the right breast. With matching alternate logo patches present over both shoulders, the black-and-red garment has been accented over the sleeves and verso with the number "9" in dual layer red-over-white tackle twill numerals, "Demitra" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the back. Of note, "9" was originally worn by Fortier during the 1992-93 season while during the 1993-94 regular season campaign, Demitra wore number "78". With evidence of the former "Fortier" nameplate seen on the interior, the jersey exhibits game-wear in the form of stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves, board burns throughout the lower front and both sleeves, team repairs at the left elbow, lower reverse, left side hem and right wrist, board paint transfer marks and pilling on the interior, the fight strap is still found on the inside and the jersey is accompanied by a Senators LOA.
