Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Red, white and BLUE! The color scheme of the seats at the old Montreal Forum reflected the Canadiens team colors as evidenced by this single blue seat, which was removed from the famous arena’s upper level after the final game was played there on March 11, 1996. At approx 37” in height, the original number “10” (Guy Lafleur’s retired number) remains stenciled in white on the seat back, with the seat number, row and section where it was located added, with a full colour Habs decal placed over the upper right. The added legs both sport embossed red Habs' logos with “1924-96”, with two 24” aluminum-alloy runners on each side serving as a base.
The seat cushion remains intact with no rips or unsightly marks, with a bit of blue paint over sections of the metal components, with additional wear to the legs. The wooden seat rest also exhibits a few marks, with some clear tape added to a few spots on the reverse.
