A member of a GTHL championship-winning team while just 14-years-old, Mitch Marner accomplished the feat with Vaughan, in 2011-12, with this Kings captain’s jersey worn by the young star that very season. An Oz Sports label is affixed to the collar, with the diminutive garment measuring-out to roughly a size 46. Featuring a tackle twill “Kings” team crest with embroidered detailing, “87” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with alternate patches over each shoulder and a Canadian flag crest over the right breast. Accompanying the jersey, we have a pair of Marner’s Vaughan Kings’ uniform socks (small holes in each along with pilling), and Kings’ and Don Mills Flyers jersey bags. LOAs will accompany from our consignor stating that the jersey, Don Mills’ jersey bag and uniform socks were all gifted by Mitch’s dad.
We should note that Marner played for the Kings' Bantam AAA and Minor Midget AAA teams during the 2011-12 season, with the jersey possibly worn with either of those teams. The jersey shows light to moderate game use, with dark marks over each shoulder, along with a bit of minor spotting to the reverse numbers. The black jersey bag’s each sport embroidered team logos along with Marner’s “87”.
