Celebrating the most famous and successful hockey team in history, the Montreal Canadiens are not only the oldest NHL club - predating the league by almost a full decade - they are also the winningest, with an unbelievable 24 Stanley Cup championships won in franchise history. Massive, and extremely difficult to duplicate, we have a huge Canadiens collection originating from an ex-Montreal Forum/Bell Center employee. Included, we have game-used sticks (Chelios, Carbonneau, others), autographs (Maurice Richard, Jean Beliveau, others), programs, tickets, banners, pamphlets, pucks, medallions, books, buttons, bobble heads and much more! Highlights include a 1970-71 Esso Power Players hockey album (complete, French language, no dust jacket), a multi-signed Le Forum book, over 150 final season Forum stubs, retirement night booklets for Dryden, Gainey, Robinson and others, final game at the Forum and first game at the Bell Centre programs and so much more!
Also included in this gargantuan Habs lot are signed Beliveau and Geoffrion books, a Henri Richard-signed Habs game puck, retirement night banners for Dryden (2), Roy (5), Gainey (2), Geofrrion (4) and Lapointe (4), a Bobby Orr signed golf ball, inaugural Molson Centre game pucks, an inaugural Molson Centre puck with mounted bronze display (with case), an Official Habs game puck from 2002 with case, 2009 Centennial Game programs (2), final game at the Forum programs (2) and first game at the Bell Centre programs (7). There are also 2008-09 medallion sets (6), a 1991 NHL/NHLPA hockey pins point-of-sale display with the full 50-pins attached, two original Molson Export sale signs with prices from the Forum/Bell Centre (14” x 18”), an “Adieu Forum” sign (22” x 28”) and bobble heads of Lafleur and Markov. The sticks include game-used examples from Chris Chelios (late-1980s), Guy Carbonneau (circa 1987-88), Brian Hayward (late-1980s) and Pat Jablonski (mid-1990s) with intact tape jobs, along with a Denis Savard game-issued stick (early-1990s), a Lafleur signed-stick with personalization and Lafleur graphics, a 1993 NHL All-Star Game multi-signed stick with damaged sigs (double-oversized blades), a Ron Hextall stick (1990s incorrect tape job for Hextall) and a “Hull” goalie stick. Rounding out the vast lot there is also another two boxes filled with Habs programs, magazines, media guides and books, with a ton of remaining items to be discovered by the winning bidder. The majority of the items exhibit just expected handling and storage wear, with the odd piece damaged or in lower grade.
