The first player born and trained in Poland to play in the NHL, Mariusz Czerkawski dressed for five different NHL clubs during his career, and took part in the 2000 All-Star Game. From his first of two seasons in Alberta, we have a team-signed stick used by Czerkawski with the Edmonton Oilers in 1995-96. A Sher-Wood Iron Carbon model with "Czerkawski" stamped to the upper shaft and "19" crossed out with "10" handwritten (he previously wore #19 with Boston), the original tape is in place over the handle and blade (loose strand), with "Boston" stamped to the lower shaft. The stick shows light game-use, with two holes drilled to mount the stick. One side of the shaft has been painted white, with approx 17 signing in blue marker, including DeBrusk, Richardson, Ciger, Intranuovo, Roberts, Gage, Manderville, Marchment, Weight, Arnott, Buchberger, Norton, Joseph, Thornton, Oliver, Marchant and one other.
