Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
The only player on the top ten list for all-time points that saw action in less than 1,000 games, Mario Lemieux currently sits at the eighth spot all-time for NHL career points. We have a trio of signed items from the superstar. First, we have a 1987 Canada Cup replica jersey signed by Lemieux, followed by a Pittsburgh Penguins sweater, also signed by the six-time Art Ross winner. The third signed item is a photo with Jaromir Jagr (8” x 10”), with the pair holding the Stanley Cup, with each signing in silver, with the signatures jumping off the black background. As an added bonus, we also have a Mario Lemieux Team Canada bobble head doll from 2002, accompanied by its original box. Basic Certifications from JSA will accompany for each signed item.
The Team Canada jersey was produced by CCM, with “52” sizing along the collar, with a screened team crest and tackle twill reverse numbers/letters. Mario has signed the second reverse “6”, with the signature displaying well, with a sticker affixed by JSA. The Pens jersey has Sandow labeling along the collar, with a partially embroidered team crest and tackle twill reverse numbers/letters. Mario has again signed the second reverse “6”, with the signature standing out nicely, with a sticker affixed by JSA. The dual-signed photo also has a sticker from JSA affixed, with moderate to heavier wear to the bobble head box.
