Forever to be known as the first woman to ever play in the National Hockey League when she played in pre-season games with the Tampa Bay Lightning in both 1992 and 1993, Manon Rheaume would also suit up for Team Canada during her career, winning a silver medal at the 1998 Olympic Games, the first tournament to feature women's hockey. Also suiting up in the Roller Hockey International between 1994 and 1996 with the likes of the New Jersey Rockin' Rollers, Sacramento River Rats and Ottawa Loggers, offered here is this Rockin' Rollers jersey worn by Rheaume during the clubs inaugural season of 1994. a mesh construction offering made by CCM, Maska Air-Knit and size "52" labels are affixed to the inner collar while a CCM Roller Hockey International patch has been sewn on over the reverse hem. With the design of the jersey fully sublimated into the material of the jersey, the front and shoulders are decorated with a Rollin' Rockers team crest while a music notes and stave design are found over the front and reverse hem as well as both cuffs. Decorated over the sleeves and verso with Rheaume's number "33" in dual layer white-over-neon green numerals while "Rheaume" has spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed black twill nameplate at the top of the reverse. Exhibiting good game-wear including board burn like puck marks over both sleeves, the jersey's right sleeve also shows a trio of unrepaired cuts/holes of varying sizes. With some of the stitching at the end of both cuffs having let go over time and additional small unrepaired cuts over the front and reverse, the jersey comes accompanied by its original 2001 sales receipt from Byron's Hockeyland.
