Drafted 8th overall by the New York Rangers at the 1977 NHL Amateur Draft by the New York Rangers, Lucien DeBlois would go on to play a total of 993 National Hockey League games split between New York, Winnipeg, Colorado, Montreal, Quebec and Toronto, winning the lone Stanley Cup of his career with the Canadiens in 1986. Offered here, we present this Canadiens jersey worn by DeBlois during his first season with the Habs in 1984-85. Made by CCM and originating from the second set of jerseys worn by the club that season, the jersey, which would have originally displayed a "born-on" date tag reading "85 01", is void of any labeling but measures out to roughly a size "50". Accented with a CCM logo patch sewn on over the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with Montreal's famed "CH" logo in layered tackle twill while the outline of an alternate captain's "A" can be found over the left breast. Presenting with a bit of a light pink hue from the home and road jerseys being mixed during washings, the sleeves and verso have been styled with DeBlois' number "27" in dual layer blue-over-red tackle twill numerals while "DeBlois" is spelt out in single layer blue twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting strong game-wear throughout, stick marks are dotted throughout the body and sleeves while team repairs totalling approximately nineteen (19) are observed throughout the sleeves, front and lower reverse. Sporting additional battle scars in the form of red board paint transfer marks, a few light board burns and some wear to the top of the "2" on the reverse, a customized fight strap has been sewn into the interior which also shows some light pilling that is worthy of mention as well. An LOA will accompany the piece.
