It doesn’t get much better than this for hardcore Los Angeles Kings fans! Offered here is Luc Robitaille’s Kings alternate captain’s jersey from the 1993 Stanley Cup final against Montreal. From Robitaille’s personal collection, this Kings beauty displays his retired #20 as well as the Stanley Cup Finals patch on the right breast. This delightful and scarce embroidered patch remains sewn onto a swatch of white knit fabric that was sewn over the Stanley Cup 100th anniversary patch worn league-wide throughout the 1992-93 season. Robitaille signed in black marker below his number on the back of the jersey, which displays a “92-93 Set P” team set patch with an embroidered Kings logo and trainer Peter Millar’s black marker initials. Maska Airknit and size 54 fly tags remain in the neck and the fight strap is whole and intact. A team repair with fabric backing on the interior sits on the right shoulder, with another similar pair of sewing fixes on the right sleeve near the cuff. More game wear shows in blue paint transfer on the left rear hem and a small blue mark inside the bottom of the opening of the black-white-and-silver triple twill “0” in the #20 sewn on the back, as well as red paint transfer on the bottom left of the back, a light board burn with blue paint transfer on the left shoulder and a fabric pull on the front below the superb sewn-on Kings crest. Luc Robitaille’s signed LOA accompanies his historic 1993 Stanley Cup final game-worn jersey, a piece that cries out for a proper home in a SoCal hockey shrine!
