Jacques Plante Auction March 2006
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/28/2006
A product of Canadian university hockey (McMaster and U. of Toronto), Gary Inness spent parts of three seasons with the Penguins in the mid 1970’s, posting a solid 24-18-10 record in ’74-75. Signed as a free agent by Pittsburgh, Inniss earned the nickname “The Man with the Golden Glove” later in Washington. Gary’s white-painted fiberglass mask features the ever-popular penguin skater logo and combination leather and elastic straps. Mask is in excellent uncracked condition and shows nice game use with scrapes, scratches and puck marks. Great ‘70s mask was originally part of the Richard Curry collection and presents mask/goalie collectors with yet another splendid opportunity.
