Edmonton Oilers Auction 2005
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/16/2005
Wondrous white Nike mesh Edmonton Oilers uniform worn by superstar blueliner Paul Coffey during the 1985-86 or 1986-87 season. Coffey's numbers are astonishing! Paul sits at number two on the all-time scoring list for defenseman, earning him a well-deserved spot in the Hockey Hall of Fame. This well-worn sweater has "Coffey" running across the back shoulders above the tri-color number "7". Four stitched team repairs can be found on the sleeves with another jumbled mass of repair work down on the right hip. Great game used with dozens of smaller black stick marks on the cuffs and belly. This example has the blue Nike tag in the collar, size LG, with the company's "swoosh" screened onto the outer rear hem. Coffey's Edmonton Oilers uniforms sell for multiples of what you would expect to pay for his shirt from any other team… and they don't come around often. Grab this one now! From the personal collection of Rick "The Stick" Elaschuk with his signed letter of provenance.
