Featuring the Canadian Original Six teams along with Gordie Howe's Detroit Red Wings, the 1960-61 Parkhurst set featured cards with a full player image set over a solid background colour, with the player's biography in blue ink on the reverse over a red team logo. We offer a group of 145 cards from the highly collectible set, which includes some duplication.
First, the HOFers and star cards total 38 and include 45-M. Richard (2), 20-Howe (back damage), 49-Beliveau (2) and 48-Harvey (5), with 22 cards ranging from VG to VG/EX, and some EX, while 16 cards are in lower grades with creases. The remaining 107 cards out of the 145 include 4-Olmstead (4), 5-Edmundson (2), 6-Stewart (2), 7-James, 8-Ehman (2), 10-Creighton (3), 11-Baun (3), 12-Duff, 13-Regan, 14-Wilson (2), 15-Harris (5), 18-Brewer (2), 19-Pulford (5), 21-Fonteyne RC (2), 22-Oliver RC (4), 23-Abel (3), 24-McIntyre (2), 25-Rheaume (2), 27-Smith (2), 28-Melnyk (3), 29-Pronovost (4), 30-Godfrey (4), 32-Cullen (5), 33-Aldcorn (2), 34-Goegan (2), 35-Lunde (3), 37-McKenzie RC (4), 39-Langlois (4), 40-Hicke (2), 41-Backstrom (3), 42-Marshall, 43-Turner (2), 44-Johnson (2), 50-Goyette (6), 51-Bonin (2), 52-Talbot (4), 54-Provost, 55-Pronovost (2) and 60-McDonald (3). 37 of these 107 cards have no creases but may have slight corner wear, with a large quantity sporting removable wax stains. The remaining 70 cards have creasing, with some showing just a tiny/minor crease, and some with off-centering and/or corner wear.
