Backing-up superstar Ken Dryden for numerous seasons with the Montreal Canadiens throughout most the 1970s, Michel “Bunny” Larocque was drafted 6th overall in 1972 and earned/shared four Vezina Trophies during his career along with a quartet of Stanley Cup championships. This stick was used by the Hull native in the late-1970s, with the specific type of model used from approx 1977 to 1980. A Canadien model with “M. Larocque” stamped to the upper shaft, the original black tape remains over the blade and upper shaft, with a loose strand at the toe of the blade (sticks of this type of model we have sold in the past used by Larocque have been taped with white tape as opposed to black, and we could not find any images online of Bunny using black tape on a Canadien stick. He did use black tape on Sher-Wood models during his time with Montreal, and it should be further noted that the tape job style is absolutely correct for Larocque). Moderate game-use is exhibited with wear to the taped section of blade and numerous marks to the blade at the heel, paddle and shaft. There is also small areas of red paint transfer to the paddle and shaft, with one of the upper shaft accents loose and out of place. Larocque has signed the shaft in blue ballpoint. The replica mask appears to have been made by THC Vintage Masks, with padding in the interior and proper strapping used. Featuring the matching style paint job that Bunny utilized on his mask with the Maple Leafs, with this in blue, white and red opposed to blue and white, "Bunny" is placed on the forehead, with Playboy bunnies at each side. The mask remains in beautiful like-new condition.
