A fixture in high-level competitive hockey for almost 30 years, Igor Larionov won three Stanley Cup championships while with Detroit, with countless gold medals won representing Russia. Suiting up in 921 games in the National Hockey League with the likes of Vancouver, San Jose, Detroit, Florida and New Jersey, Larionov, nicknamed "The Professor", would be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame and IIHF Hall of Fame in 2008. Offered here, we present this stick used by Igor as a member of the San Jose Sharks during the 1993-94 season. A Busch by Sher-Wood Carbone 2000 model offering, a faded "Larionov" stamp appears over the upper shaft along with an additional one reading "3330". Retaining its original teal (now faded to green) cloth that is finished at the bottom with a single ring of black over the shaved down handle/knob, the original black wrapping is still present around the blade as well. Having had "January 1994" penned over the bottom portion of the shaft on the forehand side, the stick appears to remain free from any cracks or breaks and shows game-use via some marks and abrasions throughout the shaft, lower shaft, heel and blade while puck marks are also seen over both sides of the blade tape as well.
