Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/18/2025
The father of HOFer Ted Lindsay, Leslie “Bert” Lindsay played a total of 151 games of professional hockey between teams in the NHA, PCHA and NHL during his career with teams such as the Renfrew Creamery Kings, Victoria Aristocrats, Montreal Wanderers and Toronto Arenas. Up for grabs here, is this copy of Lindsay’s rookie card that was found as part of Imperial Tobacco’s 1911-12 C55 hockey set. Shown with his right hand over the knob of his stick on the front of the card, this particular copy of the 112-year-old cardboard has earned a mark of GOOD+ 2.5 from the graders at PSA after their inspection, with the card being offered here presenting with good colours as well as corner and edge wear. Of note, the PSA holder shows scratches and scuffs over both sides that is worth mentioning for accuracy.
