With very few sets in the hobby more important than this one, the 1951 Bowman baseball release boasted a checklist of 324-cards in all and is the crown jewel release of the Bowman brand due to the rookie cards of Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays. Boasting a checklist with thirty (30) Hall of Fame players, including several rookie cards, 1951 Bowman is a groundbreaking trading card product that is one of the most popular and valuable sets ever made, with the release helping usher in a new era of collecting. Offered here, we present this lot of thirty-eight (38) cards from the 1951 Bowman baseball release. Highlighted by VG range examples of 126-Bobby Thomson and 151-Larry Doby, with other notable players showing up in a lesser condition state. Around the range of FR shape are those card of 62-Boudreau, 127-Maglie RC and 219-Woodling RC, while tape or writing or heavy wear send 10-Schoendienst, 25-Raschi, 50-Mize, 56-Branca and 223-Vander Meer to the realm of PR for their efforts. Brighter lights at EX-MT are 212-Rush and 214-Swift, along with 20 in the VG and (mostly) VG+ and VG-EX range. Numbers are 5, 19, 48, 51, 68, 70, 72, 147, 157 (2), 162, 170, 171, 178, 204, 211, 252-Howell RC, 268-Mueller, 281-Widmar RC and the last card, 324-Pramesa RC (VG). Other high numbers are 266-Dorish RC (G) and 273-Murtaugh (F).
