Jack Nicklaus would win an astounding 117 professional tournaments over the course of his legendary gold career including The Masters (x5), the PGA Championship (x5), U.S. Open (x4) and The Open Championship (x3). Named “Golfer of the Century” by the PGA during the game’s centennial celebration in the United States in 1988, Nicklaus has signed two Scottish-themed items: a St. Andrews Links scorecard and a Five Pound Sterling Royal Bank of Scotland Note! The Golden Bear placed a big bold blue marker autograph across the front of the scorecard, just above “The Old Course” with the “J” in his first name running through the upper case “O”. The unmarked scorecard measures a shade 5 ½” x 3 ½” folded and unfolds to display each of the legendary course’s holes. Nicklaus placed a big bold black marker autograph on the center of the Five Pound Note, across one of the two images on the crease-free bank note that celebrates his two British Open wins at St. Andrews in 1970 and 1978. Comes with a JSA Auction LOA.
