A three-time Hart Trophy winner, Bobby Clarke captained the Philadelphia Flyers to pair of epic back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 1974 and 1975. Registering three 100-point seasons during his HOF career Clarke concluded his time in the NHL with over 1,200 points and is remembered for his hard hitting offensive style that helped the “Broad Street Bullies” reach Lord Stanley’s promised land. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1987 and spending his entire NHL career in Philly, offered here is this pair of infamous Cooperall style pants attributed to have been worn by Clarke during the 1981-82 season, the first year they were worn by the Flyers. In fact not at all made by Cooper but actually CCM made "Pro Pacs" model offerings, the leg coverings are found in Philadelphia's black, white and orange colourway with tattered CCM labels appearing twice over each leg while fastener/suspender buttons appear all the way around the waist. Also retaining a torn up CCM label inside the waist with a size "36/90" label added on beside it, a heavily faded black marker ink identifier reading "16 CLARKE" is found penned over the white coloured reverse waist band at the left hip. Sporting padding in the areas above both knees on the front of the pants and missing the loop around the left leg opening, the pants show heavy wear throughout including rips/tears, small unrepaired holes, dirt marks/stains and other tattering as well as evidence of game-use via board burns, stick marks and coloured board paint transfers.
