Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Playing a total of 1269 National Hockey League games over the course of his 19-year National Hockey League career, Brett Hull would pot a total of 741 goals over that time, the fifth (5th) most in the history of the league and win a pair of Stanley Cups as well as numerous other awards and trophies. An elite scorer at all levels of the game who is nicknamed "the Golden Brett" in a reference to his father's nickname of "the Golden Jet", the younger Hull would be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009. Offered here, we present this stick used by Hull as a member of the Dallas Stars during the 2000-01 season, his final year in the Lone Star State. A TPS Rubber model offering with "Hull" graphics over the upper shaft, the stick retains Hull's original white cloth and red tape job over the handle/knob while black is found wrapped around the inserted Easton blade that had had a pattern code of "Hull 156" stamped over its underside. Displaying with overall light game-wear via a handful of marks and abrasions throughout the shaft and inserted blade, both sides of the blade tape show marks also while wear is observed on the underside that is worth noting for accuracy.
