Selected 8th overall at the 1990 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota North Stars, Derian Hatcher would transition with the club to Dallas during his sophomore campaign, and would spend a decade in Texas which included winning a Stanley Cup championship in 1999. a veteran of 1045 games over the course of 16-years in the National Hockey League who also served as Dallas' captain for numerous seasons in their early years, offered here is this Dallas Stars jersey worn by Hatcher during the 2000-01 pre-season. Made by CCM, both size “58” and “Made in Canada” fly tags are affixed to the inner collar while both the CCM and NHL shield logos have been embroidered over the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Stars team crest that features both textured and embroidered details, matching alternate logo patches have been sewn over top of each shoulder while the NHL2000 patch, wore during throughout the previous 1999-2000 season, has been added over the right collarbone. Also sporting the distinguished captain's "C" over the left breast, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Hatcher's number "2" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals while "Hatcher" has been spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its fight strap on the interior as well as a Stars/MeiGray tag sewn inside the rear hem, the jersey has been signed by Hatcher through the "2" on the reverse with a silver marker ink signature that displays without issue and shows game-wear through board burns over both sleeves, light sweat staining around the collar and a couple of small stick marks over the right sleeve. Of note, the jersey shows small spot stain over the lower reverse plus in the front crest and comes accompanied by a Stars LOA and MeiGray COR.
