A member of the Pittsburgh Penguins squad that captured the 2009 Stanley Cup championship, Tyler Kennedy would spend six seasons patrolling the wing for the Pens before finishing his NHL career with the New Jersey Devils in 2015-16. A product of the OHL's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds who played a total of 527 games over the course of his National Hockey League career after being drafted 99th overall by the Pens at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, suiting up for Pittsburgh, San Jose, New York and New Jersey, offered here is this stick used by Kennedy as a member of the Penguins in the early-2010s. An Easton made S19 model stick that has been cut down to Kennedy's desired length, "Kennedy" and "48" factory graphics appear over the upper shaft which have been mostly covered up by the original white tape job that is wrapped around the shaved down handle/knob that has had "142" penned to it in black marker ink. Having had its original blade tape removed to facilitate Kennedy's flowing silver ink signature that displays without issue, a layer of gripping agent has been applied over much of the shaft, which has dried out over time. Exhibiting good game-wear, numerous marks and abrasions are present throughout the length of the shaft, lower shaft and heel while additional wear is also observed to the toe as well.
