Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Currently the only Major League Baseball team to call Canada home, the Toronto Blue Jays have owned a place in the American League since 1977 and lay claim to having won two World Series championships over the course of their history, coming in back-to-back years of 1992 and 1993. Offered here, we present this pair of Toronto Blue Jays jerseys dating from the early-to-mid-1990s, circa 1993 to 1996. Both batting practice/spring training pullover style jerseys made of a midweight mesh construction, both are Wilson branded garments that sport brand labels displaying size "48" designations affixed to the inner collars. Accented around the sleeve cuffs and collars with knitted striping patterns, both jerseys are decorated over the front with screened on Blue Jays logos with "Blue Jays" spelt out above in spilt white letters that have been laid out in a gentle arch. Showing the numbers "73" and "74" over the reverses in matching styles, each numeral shows light wear via minor flaking/loss of material. Showing light wear overall via some fading to the knitted accents around the cuffs and collars from numerous uses and washings, there is also some fading to the brand labels in the inner collars as well.
