Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/24/2024
Both making their hockey card debuts as part of Topps' 1970-71 hockey release, the first year cardboard examples of Gilbert Perreault and Brad Park are the two most important rookie cards of the set, with the pair of them being offered here having been signed individually by the HOFer featured over the front. Cards #67 and #131 in the checklist of 132 total cards, each player is pictured over the front via posed headshot images on a green background. Both having been signed with blue marker ink signatures that display without issue, each autograph has been assessed by Beckett, with both earning the company's perfect by definition mark of "10" for their efforts. Of note, neither card has been given a technical grade but both show edge and corner wear while the Perreault example also sports some centering problems and surface wear over both sides. Both housed in Beckett holders, both show light wear via some minor scratches and scuffs that are worth mentioning for accuracy.
