One of the charter franchises of the National Hockey League and a staple in the league since its inception in 1917, the Toronto Maple Leafs, originally known as the Arenas and the St. Patricks before Conn Smythe settled on their current moniker, have won a total of thirteen (13) Stanley Cups during their history and have retired the use of thirteen (13) numbers in honour of nineteen (19) former players. Boasting a total of sixty-four (64) honored members in the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame, the most of any franchise, offered here is this limited-edition /100 artist proof on canvas titled "Hall of Fame Maple Leafs" by noted sports artist Gary McLaughlin. Framed to full dimensions of approximately 42 3/4" x 34", the piece, picturing the headshot images of all those that had donned the blue and white and been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame at the time of its commision, each full colour headshot is placed atop of a classic Maple Leafs logo that lies on a light blue "ice" like background. an artist proof example numbered "AP/1-100" in black ink at the bottom left corner, McLaughlin has signed over the bottom right in matching ink. Featuring the likes of players such as; Bower, Horton, Kelly, Keon, Mahovlich, Salming, and Sittler as well as many others, the piece is displayed under a white matte and is housed in a simple black frame with blue coloured inlay that displays with some wear to the edges and corners that is worth mentioning for accuracy. Of note, due to the size and weight of the piece, special shipping arrangements may be required.
