Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2024
Historically remembered for his stunning performance at the 1936 Summer games in Berlin, track and field star Jesse Owens set three world records and tied another, all in less than an hour, at the 1935 Big Ten track meet in Ann Arbor, Michigan — a feat that has never been equaled. This index card has been signed by the legendary athlete, and it is matted with an Olympic card and ready for a quality frame. The standard 3" x 5" index card has been signed with felt tip marker, with Owens adding "My Best Always". The card is affixed with tape on the corners to a roughly 7 1/2" x 13" grey mount, with the 1991 Olympic card mounted in matching fashion over the left side. The signature presents well, with a JSA auction LOA to accompany.
