A silver medalist at the 1994 Winter Olympics, goaltender Manny Legace was drafted by Hartford and made his NHL debut for the Los Angeles Kings, in 1998-99. A Stanley Cup champion with Detroit in 2001-02, Legace would play a total of 365 games in the National Hockey League over the course of his career, spending six (6) of his eleven (11) NHL seasons in the red and white of Motown. Offered here, we present this stick used by Legace while playing with Detroit in the era of the early-to-mid-2000s. A Brain's Altralite model twig with "M. Legace" stamped in white over the upper shaft, the all black stick with white coloured graphics retains its original tape job of white over the handle/knob as well as black over the blade and lower portion of the paddle//heel. Sporting good evidence and signs of game-use througout its entirety, puck marks are seen over both sides of the paddle as well as the forehand side of the upper shaft while light puck marks are present over the blade tape as well. Additionally, numerous red coloured post paint transfer marks are dotted over the backhand side of the upper shaft with other coloured marks over the backhand side of the paddle as well. Remaining free of any cracks or breaks that we can see, other various marks and abrasions are present throughout that are worth mentioning for accuracy.
