Opening in June of 1989 with the first Toronto Blue Jays home game occuring on June 5th of the same year, the SkyDome, now known as Rogers Centre, is the first major team sports stadium in North America with a functional, fully retractable roof. The site of numerous key moments in Canadian sports history, including the World Series in 1992 and 1993, as well as multiple Grey Cup championship games, the stadium was also the home of the NBA's Toronto Raptors between 1995 and 1999. Offered here, we present this miniature stadium replica of SkyDome that was produced by Danbury Mint. Highly detailed and showing it with the roof open and the field in the baseball configuration for the Blue Jays, the piece sports a label on the bottom that reads "SkyDome - Home of the Toronto Blue Jays" the piece measures roughly 7" x 7" with the height coming in at approximately 3" at its tallest point.
