Seeing action at the Fall Classic six times throughout his career, Jackie Robinson would post impressive World Series numbers, including batting .234 with 32 hits, 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and 22 runs scored in 38 games. From his very first postseason hit which occurred during his rookie season, we have a 1947 World Series Game 2 ticket stub from Robinson's first World Series hit graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, and it is accompanied by a modern 11" x 14" print of Robinson sliding into home plate against Yogi Berra - signed by Berra. The Yankees scored first in the match, on Johnny Lindell's double-play ground ball after two leadoff singles in the first off Vic Lombardi, scoring Snuffy Stirnweiss, with Robinson's RBI single in the third tying the match. The Yankees would go on to win, 10-3. Listing the particulars including "1947 World Series" and "Game 2", the bleacher seat ticket shows light handling wear with a bit of toning. The Robinson/Berra photo is signed by Yogi in blue marker, with a JSA Basic cert included. 33 tickets stubs from this particular game have been graded by PSA over the years and this example is a pop-6 highest graded example.
