Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024

Renamed the "Falcons" in 1930, the Detroit NHL franchise would again change it's moniker in 1932 to become the Red Wings. As such, any items from the Falcons time frame is especially rare, and compounding that rarity, we offer a program vs the Philadelphia Quakers in 1930-31 - the club's only NHL season! Complete including the line-up, the 20-page Olympia program has small bios for each Falcons player along with the team's schedule. Scored in pencil to show a 2-0 Quakers win, with HOFer Syd Howe scoring the first goal and earning two minor penalties in the match, the score would point to a date of Feb 17, 1931. Condition is very good, with just some light expected handling wear and no damage whatsoever.
