Calling Quebec City, the capital city of the Province of Quebec, home from 1971 to 1977, the club serving as the "AA" minor league affiliate of the MLB's Montreal Expos would be known as the Quebec Carnavals for their first five (5) seasons of play before going by the moniker "Metros" in both 1976 and 1977. Relocating to Memphis, Tennessee for the start of the 1978 campaign, offered here is this Quebec Carnavals jersey that dates from the early-to-mid-1970s. A polyester double-knit construction offering made by Rawlings, a brand label that displays a size "42" designation is affixed at the front hemline while the ends of the sleeves and around the collar are accented by red, white and blue striping accents. A pull over style jersey that is decorated over the left breast with a Carnavals team crest that features beautifully done chain-stitched embroidery details, the number "11" has been sewn on over the right breast as well as the reverse in single layer blue twill numerals. Remaining in overall excellent condition, the jersey shows game-wear via dirt staining and light soiling throughout in an even matter while there is light pilling/fabric rubbing on the interior.
