Regarded by many to this day as the greatest hockey player to ever lace up a pair of skates, the name Gordie Howe is synonymous with the game loved and played by so many across the world. In a career that spanned over five different decades from 1946-71 and 1973-80, fans and players alike will still find Howe’s name near the top of the all-time leaderboards all these years later. Inducted into the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972, offered here is this pair of Howe offerings from the 1959-60 Topps hockey release. Including both his regular series and action card examples, the first of the two (2), found at #63 in the set's checklist, sports a posed image of Howe over the front in his red Detroit sweater while the action card, #48 in the set, shows "Mr. Hockey" shielding the puck on home ice at the Olympia from Jack Evans of the Chicago Black Hawks. Both freshly graded by the professionals at PSA, the cards have been assessed marks of EX-MT 6 and NM 7 respectively with both retaining excellent visual appeal and strong attributes that contribute to their designations. Both housed in flawless PSA holders, don't miss out on this pair of key Original Six offerings from hockey's golden years for your all-important collection!
