The Canada Starch Company’s response to its competitor’s popular “Bee Hive” photos in the mid-1930s were these pictures, known as Crown Brand photos, issued from 1935 to 1940, with Montreal Canadiens and Maroons subjects dominating the lineup and contributing to a complete set of 68. Displaying rather well throughout unless noted otherwise, the photos mounted to the beige mats are nice with no folds or defects but like most batches of Crown Brand photos, the condition of the beige mats is all over the board.
