A tough and rugged defenceman originally drafted 16th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in 1987, Bryan Marchment would play in 926 National Hockey League games over the course of his career, with this Tampa Bay Lightning jersey worn by him during his short stint with the club in 1997-98. Made by CCM and featuring a lone size "56" label affixed to the inner collar, both the CCM and NHL shield logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a familiar Lightning team crest that features both embroidered and textured details, the right breast has had the John Cullen patch that was worn by the team throughout the course of the season added over the right breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Marchment's number "23" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Marchment" has been spelt out in matching style letters that have been placed in a gentle arch over the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Sporting matching alternate logo patches atop of both shoulders, the jersey shows game-wear in the form of light stick marks over the lower front, left sleeve and reverse, board burns over both sleeves and lower reverse, a small blue coloured board paint transfer mark over the lower reverse and lastly, a small hole in the left sleeve. Additionally, there are a couple of small fabric snags near the left cuff and some very light pilling on the interior.
