Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2024
Well remembered for his hard shot and outlandish “banana hook” curved sticks, Bobby Hull is also largely responsible for hockey’s growth throughout the US, as his WHA involvement gave real credibility to the upstart league, forcing the NHL’s hand and eventual expansion. From The Golden Jet we have this pair of signed limited-edition jerseys, including Team Canada "Canada Cup 1976" and Black Hawks "Stanley Cup 1961". Both made by CCM with "L" (Black Hawks) and "52" (Team Canada) sizing, each jersey has tackle twill team crests and numbers, with the Team Canada jersey signed in black marker within the reverse number with "1976 CC" handwritten and "24 of 76" embroidered above (there is some minor bleeding to the signature). The Black Hawks jersey is signed in silver paint pen within the reverse number, with "Stanley Cup" embroidered above and "1961" below along with "17 of 109". A JSA Auction LOA will accompany.
