Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Cementing his place in Montreal Canadiens history by scoring the franchise’s first goal in their first ever game, Newsy Lalonde would play over a decade for the original “Flying Frenchmen” in both the NHA and NHL, winning a Stanley Cup championship with them in 1916, the only one of his career. Also, an esteemed lacrosse player at the same time as his hockey career and inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1950, offered here is this copy of Lalonde’s 1911-12 Imperial Tobacco C55 card. Inspected and deemed worthy of a VG-EX 4 designation by PSA and housed in a holder that shows a number of light scratches and scuffs, this key card will surely become a cornerstone of your important pre-war collection!
