Gordie giving Wayne the hook a second time around! Years after a pre-teen Wayne Gretzky met his boyhood idol Gordie Howe and had a similar photo taken, the two legends recreated the image, this time in front of Wayne’s stall in the Oilers’ dressing room during The Great One’s 1980s heyday. Featuring a WGA hologram and the desirable “43/99” limited-edition notation, this wonderful piece features gorgeous silver paint pen autographs from each of the two icons, with Howe penning “Mr. Hockey” above his signature. Professionally triple-matted and framed to 26 ½” x 30”, the formidable display remains in excellent condition with a bit of wear to the frame. Accompanying the framed display we have a matted display with cut signatures from the pair along with a dressing room photo. The photo is 8" x 10", with the cut signatures beneath, both in dark marker, with the photo and cuts matted to full dimensions of 11 1/2" x 17 1/2". A JSA Auction LOA will accompany the matted display with cut signatures.
While all of our frames are thoroughly and safely packaged for shipping, due to the size and/or weight, and dependent upon the shipping company, we should mention that damage may occur in transit. Please note that as such, we are not responsible for damage to frames that occurs during shipping.
