Originally drafted 48th overall by the Buffalo Sabres at the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, Henrik Tallinder would play a total of 678 National Hockey League games over the course of his career and win a gold medal with Sweden at the 2013 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championships. Playing a total of three (3) seasons with the New Jersey Devils from 2010-2013, offered here is this Devils jersey worn by the Swedish defenceman during Game 4 (June 6th) and Game 6 (June 11th) of the 2012 Stanley Cup Final against the Los Angeles Kings. Made by Reebok and feating a size "58" label affixed to the inner collar, the front and reverse necklines of the jersey have been decorated with crests of the NHL shield and Reebok respectively. Styled over the front with a familiar Devils team crest in layered tackle twill, the all-important 2012 Stanley Cup Finals event patch has been added over the right breast. Having had Tallinder's number "7" sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer red-over-black tackle twill numerals, "Tallinder" is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate across the top of the reverse. Worn in just a pair of games during that heavily contested series, the jersey exhibits just light game-wear via a couple of light stick marks on the backside of the right arm near the armpit, a light stick mark on the left arm, a scratch/scuff in the middle of the front crest and lastly, a small unrepaired cut over the reverse hem. Having had a MeiGray tag numbered "I07887" sewn inside the reverse hem, according to the company's population report, the jersey is a "White - Stanley Cup Final - Set 2 GI" offering and is accompanied by a matching LOA. Of note, both of Tallinder's white Stanley Cup Finals jerseys are listed on the population report as being only "game-issued" but the LOA accompanying the jersey states the jersey was in fact worn during the two games listed.
