A former captain of SKA St. Petersburg in the KHL, Dmitri Kalinin also witnessed NHL action with both the Buffalo Sabres and the New York Rangers to the tune of 539 National Hockey League contests after being drafted 18th overall by Buffalo in 1998. Having represented his native Russia on numerous occasions, winning World Championship gold in 2008, 2009 and 2012, offered here is this Buffalo Sabres jersey worn by Kalinin during the 2002-03 season. Made by CCM, a lone size "56" tag is affixed to the inner collar while a CCM logo patch has been added over the reverse neckline and the NHL shield is embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Sabres team crest that features embroidered and textured details throughout, matching alternate logo patches have been added over both shoulders. Having had Kalinin's number "45" sewn to the sleeves and verso in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Kalinin" is spelt out in dual layer white-over-red tackle twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate across the top of the reverse. Exhibiting excellent game-wear throughout, stick marks are present over the front, reverse and both sleeves of the jersey while additional wear is observed in the form of board burns over both sleeves, blue coloured board paint transfers over the right sleeve and a small unreapired hole through the first layer of material on the left elbow. Having had a MeiGray tag numbered "A00895" sewn inside the reverse hem, according to the company's population report, the jersey is a "White 3rd Regular Season" specimen and is accompanied by a matching LOA.
