Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/28/2023
The first Fall Classic in which a team did not commit a single error, the New York Yankees handled 179 total chances without failure at the 1937 World Series, winning in five games to defeat the crosstown-rival New York Giants. The series was also memorable as Carl Hubbell pitched his final World Series innings in Game 4, giving up Lou Gehrig's final Series home run in the ninth inning. We have a program scored for Game 5 in pencil. At 9" x 11", the program is complete, with minor wear to the covers including a large crease to the back cover. The interior pages show handling wear, with no rips. tears or missing pages.
